I am an actress. I love special rooms. I hate crowds. I love silence. I admire discipline. I like lounging. I can't go to bed without a good book. I love having dinner together with family and friends. I like to be cooked for. I like cooking. I don't like cleaning up. I love tidy rooms. I hate tax returns. I like to take on challenges. I love actors. I hate actors. I admire good authors. I have great respect for wild animals. I like nature, but not insects. I love the smell of lemon trees. I don't like cacti in my apartment. I miss the sea. I liked my childhood and was happy when it was over.
I am a woman. I am a mother. I refuse to give up. I need music. I detest noise. I love martial arts. I like to expend myself. I don't like to be rushed. I fight with my inner bastard and occasionally I embrace it. I'm curious about the world, but sometimes I'm afraid of it. I want to be protected. I want to protect. Injustice makes me sick. I love being awake. I enjoy sleeping in. I ask questions. I have no answers. I'm looking for. I've already found a lot.
WORKSHOP
"Because all the world's a stage"
In my workshop I impart basic knowledge from my job that everyone can benefit from in everyday life. I'll show you exercises and techniques that can help you get in touch with yourself and adjust your body and mind to be alive in the here and now. Get to know yourself better, develop empathy for yourself and your teammate. Without pressure or judgment, I want to awaken imagination, empathy and joy.
Meet your inner actor and have fun!
My workshop lasts two days and is aimed at adult non-actors of all ages. You should bring curiosity, openness and joy in movement and imagination. That's it. Further information and registration at workshop@birgeschade.de
FEEDBACK from participants
It was a weekend full of new impressions, impulses and challenges that gave me self-awareness and confidence. Birge Schade gave us an insight into her profession and her art and created an atmosphere in which even the shy among us dared to take the small stage and grew from it. Eva, 49 years old
It's unbelievable how quickly a familiarity developed in the group, where we were able to try out a lot of things without trust or fear and laughed a lot together. I take with me impulses for a more conscious appearance in everyday life and on stage (the world), moments of happiness. I can't say with gratitude that I was totally in the right place here. Connie, 63 years old
Surrounded by great personalities, Birge's workshop not only gave me an insight into how acting works, but also taught me techniques to improve my own appearance in everyday life. It's just great how a great actress brings her techniques and knowledge to even the most inexperienced people through her course. It doesn't necessarily have to be about acting on stage or in front of the camera. Mick 20yrs
Thank you for this great workshop from which I, as a physiotherapist, benefit in my daily life when dealing with my fellow human beings and patients. In addition to concentrating work, we had a lot of fun, laughed a lot and it was good for my soul. With your experience and sensitive manner, you have managed to introduce me/us to the techniques relating to movement and voice in a playful way, which show my/our external impact on others and their reaction. It opened my eyes to how minimal variation in posture and voice can change a situation to the maximum (e.g. from negative to positive). Really becoming aware of this makes a lot of things easier, is a help to me, makes me happy and can make a difference. Susanne, 70 years old
Birge picked us all up wherever we were in a calm, funny, informative and very professional manner. Whether with stage experience or without, each participant was able to learn for themselves, try things out, feel in and be very aware. With her wealth of experience, Birge showed us participants how we can be more present and more attentive in everyday life using small exercises, well-known acting scenes and funny role plays. For me personally, as I spend a lot of time on stage as a singer and actress, this workshop was very enriching and helped me to reorganize my repertoire of experiences for the stage and to broaden my overall worldview.
